The one with the TDF Ghar

Let’s start off with my latest excursion in Karachi, which ended up being the Dawood Foundation ghar. Now, when someone visits Karachi and they ask where they should go for sight-seeing, they’re always told “Oh, Quaid’s tomb!” Ok I know it is an architectural wonder to behold, but it’s also really morbid for a tomb to be synonymous with Karachi’s top tourist location. Besides, the tomb is more of a hangout spot for the city’s unruly youth lately so everything else aside, its not the best place to visit as a group for a nice relaxing day out. So a friend suggested the TDF Ghar instead. Located in “the heart of Jamshed Quarters”, which, apparently was once a very multicultural prime spot, the TDF ghar was launched by The Dawood Foundation and dates back at least a hundred years. Pay like 50 bucks and enter the old-style veranda with a beautiful, lush almond tree right there in front of you. The pictures below show some pretty spots I hung out at, as it is a house mostly furbis
